Oh my goodness, just went to see the movie ‘Freedom Writers’….after my one hour round trip walking the kids to school and preschool; my permission to blob!

‘Freedom Writers’, another movie that absolutely gripped me…based on a true life story of one idealist teacher who makes life altering difference in the lives of her students. I wept watching it

Yesterday we went to the open day of a High School we’re interested in for our daughter. Later flicking through the literature, a line from their school newsletter caught my attention:

Albert Einstein once said;
“Don’t try to become a person of importance. Try to become a person of value”

A Catholic school, the principal then speaks of their endeavour to turn out young women of value rather than those who see only themselves as important…who are grounded in, and add VALUE to society

My heart is to make a difference, sometimes I don’t know exactly how or what to do but within me a quiet hunger to live a life that counts. Starting at home, I think I’m only beginning…
